On 10 October, the Screening Centre of the Lviv Regional Oncology Treatment and Diagnostic Centre will hold an Open Day for Women. The event is dedicated to October, which is traditionally focused on raising awareness of breast cancer.
The medical facility reminds women that looking after their health starts with regular preventive check-ups, even when there are no complaints or visible symptoms.
As part of the Open Day, women will be able to:
- undergo an ultrasound examination (US) of the breasts;
- have a mammogram;
- have a gynaecological examination;
- receive a consultation and examination by a dermatologist;
- talk to specialists and receive professional recommendations;
- discuss any changes or symptoms that are causing concern;
- find out more about the prevention and early detection of cancer.
The Lviv Oncology Centre emphasises that early detection of tumours significantly increases the chances of successful treatment, so it is important not to put off having an examination.
Prior registration to take part in the Open Day is mandatory. Registration is carried out at the Lviv Regional Oncology Treatment and Diagnostic Centre.
