
On 2 July, thunderstorms are expected across Lviv region, with local squalls of 15–20 m/s, and in the daytime possible hail with a diameter of 6–19 mm. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre.
According to forecasters, the bad weather may lead to falling trees and branches, damage to power lines, disruption to traffic and pose a threat to people’s lives and health.
During a thunderstorm, people are advised to follow these simple safety rules:
- stay indoors where possible;
- do not shelter under isolated trees;
- avoid advertising hoardings, power lines and other unstable structures;
- do not park cars under trees.
Experts stress that no task is worth risking your life, so it is better to wait out the bad weather in a safe place.
