In the Lviv region, thunderstorms are forecast over the next three hours, persisting until the end of 13 July, as well as throughout 14 July. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre.
During a thunderstorm, residents are advised to avoid being in open areas, near bodies of water, tall trees and power lines, and also not to shelter under spreading trees and to keep away from advertising hoardings and building roofs.
Drivers are advised to be particularly careful, as rainfall may cause poor visibility and slippery road surfaces. Where possible, vehicles should be parked away from trees and advertising structures.
Residents are advised to monitor the condition of electrical networks, if possible unplug electrical appliances, close windows and doors tightly, and not leave children unsupervised outdoors.
In the event of an emergency, call 101.
