A new pain management clinic has opened at the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Oncological Treatment and Diagnostic Centre”. Here, cancer patients are offered a comprehensive approach to pain control, rather than just temporary relief.
Support is available for patients in the perioperative period, after completion of their main treatment, as well as for people living with prolonged or chronic pain. You can make an appointment at the clinic via an electronic referral from your family or attending doctor, through the reception, or by calling the oncology centre call centre.
A pain management specialist assesses the patient’s condition, adjusts medication, helps prevent or reduce treatment side effects, uses interventional techniques where necessary, and determines the further treatment strategy. If required, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychologists may also be involved in the patient’s care.
“If you have pain that causes discomfort, prevents you from functioning fully, is localised and requires a large amount of medication, I invite you to book a consultation at the pain management clinic and we will help you resolve this problem,” the Lviv Oncology Centre notes.
The pain management clinic is open every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 in room No. 121 at: Lviv, 2a Yaroslava Hasheka Street.
