Ukrainian Fencers Triumph at World Championship
The Ukrainian team won gold among juniors in the team epee fencing competition at the World Championship, which took place in the Chinese city of Wuxi.
Victorious Team Composition
Competing under the blue and yellow flag were three fencers from the Lviv region — Alina Dmytruk, Anna Maksymenko, and Valeria Bilous-Hridzhak, as well as Emily Konrad from Kyiv.
In the final match, the Ukrainian team defeated the hosts — representatives of China with a score of 45:34.
Individual Achievements
- For Anna Maksymenko, this is the fourth medal in her career at the Cadet and Junior World Championship.
- For Alina Dmytruk – the second.
- For Valeria Bilous-Hridzhak – the first.
