Lviv Region fencers claimed podium places at the 2026 Ukrainian Combined Fencing Championships, held in Kyiv. The Department for Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration reported on the results of their performance.
The competition lasted four days. Athletes contested all three weapons in both individual and team events. The tournament brought together more than 400 participants from Kyiv and Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Odesa, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Mykolaiv, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
In the women’s individual épée events, first place was taken by Anna Maksymenko, with Alina Dmytruk taking second place.
In the women’s team épée competition, victory went to the “Lviv 1” team of Alina Dmytruk, Anna Maksymenko, Kseniia Pantieieva and Anastasiia Ivchenko.
In the men’s team foil events, third place went to the “Lviv 1” team of Maksym Haravskyi, Danyil Hoida, Yanislav Koretskyi and Denys Olinskyi.
“We congratulate our women and men fencers on their successful performance at the Ukrainian Championships. Before long we will be cheering them on at the European Championships, which will take place in mid-June in France,” said Roman Khimyak, Director of the Department for Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
