Lviv Oblast is also preparing to hold the autumn national sailing championship on Lake Sirka

The first championship of Ukraine in sailing for Lviv Oblast took place in June at Lake Sirka in Yavoriv Oblast.

The next championship of Ukraine in sailing, scheduled for the autumn period, may also take place in the Lviv region. The organizers of the competition and partners are ready to hold it. This was announced by the head of the youth and sports department of the Lviv OVA, Roman Khimyak, following the results of the first championship of Ukraine in sailing for the Lviv region.

“This is not just a competition. This is a ray of hope for children and youth from those regions where sailing is most popular — Mykolaiv Oblast, Kherson Oblast, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and even Crimea. This is a kind of signal for them – thanks to the high-quality work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, sports and a full life are being restored in many regions of Ukraine. And thanks to the indefatigability of our soldiers, this life, a life with sports, peace and entertainment, will sooner or later return to their native regions,” said Roman Khimyak.

The first championship of Ukraine in sailing for Lviv Oblast took place on Lake Sirka in Yavoriv Oblast. This is the largest reservoir in Lviv Oblast, which is suitable for holding such competitions. Not only representatives of different regions of Ukraine came to the competition, but also those athletes who are forced to temporarily live abroad. In total, over 10 days, almost a hundred athletes competed in the Lviv region.

We will remind you that the competition was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv OVA and the Galician Sailing Federation. The competition was supported by the Yavoriv City Council, the Novoyavoriv City Council and the Yavoriv District Council. The home bakery Krymska Perepichka became a partner of the event.
