On January 11–12, the European Cadet Fencing Circuit in épée concluded in Šamorín, Slovakia. A total of 326 girls and 358 boys participated in the competition, where athletes from Lviv region achieved remarkable success.
🥉 Alina Dmytruk, a student of the Lviv Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery, secured third place in the individual girls’ competition. Her coaches are Andriy Orlikovskyi and Zoryana Semeryak.
🥈 The Ukrainian cadet girls’ team won silver in the team event. The team included fencers from Lviv region:
- Valeriia Bilous-Hridzak (DYuSSh “Atlet,” coaches Andriy Orlikovskyi, Zoryana Semeryak);
- Polina Spyridonova (DYuSSh “Atlet,” coaches Andriy Orlikovskyi, Dina Panteleeva);
- Alina Dmytruk (ShVSM, coaches Andriy Orlikovskyi, Zoryana Semeryak).
🥉 The Ukrainian cadet boys’ team earned bronze in the team event. Representatives from Lviv region in the team included:
- Maksym Hula (ShVSM, coaches Andriy Orlikovskyi, Zoryana Semeryak);
- Oleksa Artsyshevskyi (DYuSSh “Atlet,” coaches Zoryana Semeryak, Olha Holdiy).
Roman Khimyak, head of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, highlighted the strength of Lviv’s fencing school. He recalled that in 2025, Anna Maksymenko from the region triumphed at the Junior World Cup in épée and, together with Valeriia Bilous-Hridzak, Alina Dmytruk, and Oleksandra Romanova from Kyiv, placed fourth in the team competition.
