Athlete Yurii Kovalchuk, representing the municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Olympic Training Centre”, won bronze at the European Modern Pentathlon Championships held in Türkiye.
In the team event, Kovalchuk together with Maksym Agarushev and Oleksandr Tovkai finished third, stepping onto the third rung of the podium of honour.
The Olympic Training Centre highlighted the contribution of the athletes’ coaches.
“Special thanks to coaches Andrii Kovalchuk, Vitalii Tarnakin, Andrii Orlikovskyi and Oleh Fialkovych for the high level of the athletes’ preparation, their composure and determined effort right up to the very end of the competition,” commented the Olympic Training Centre.
