In Ukraine, the motanka doll has been known since ancient times, with its origins tracing back to the Trypillian civilization era.
Oksana Kozeniak from the village of Cherneve has been engaged in doll-making for over 10 years. She is a Ukrainian language and literature teacher with 37 years of experience at the Cherneve High School I-III st. named after T. G. Shevchenko. Mrs. Oksana creates not just dolls but true talismans.
Together with her students, they make motankas, angels, postcards, and wishes for our Defenders. For the City Day, the master crafted 5 unique dolls that were sold for 190,000 hryvnias. All funds will be directed to support the military.
“We are sincerely proud of our artisan and our entire community!”
