Lviv is becoming a platform for international professional discussions about rehabilitation through various means, including art. On 25 November, the city will host the international conference “There is a Challenge! Expressive Art as a Psychotherapeutic Tool”.
According to the Department of Culture, the city is already planning larger-scale professional art therapy projects for people who need such services next year.
“The international conference ‘There is a Challenge! Expressive Art as a Psychotherapeutic Tool” is a public initiative that we support organisationally and financially. The topic of professional art therapy, when psychotherapy techniques are used for rehabilitation, is very relevant now.
Next year, we plan to scale the story of art therapy to different categories, because working with the wives of the fallen, the wives of prisoners of war, and the wives of those who serve requires a separate approach. In these projects, it is important and valuable for us to cooperate with NGOs and institutions that already have good experience in such work,” said Oleksiy Taraban, Head of the Department of Culture.
The III International Conference “There is a Challenge! Expressive Art as a Psychotherapeutic Tool” is organised by the International Association of Psychologists and Expert Trainers. The event will take place on 25 November at the BANKHOTEL (8 Lystopadovoho Chynu St.), from 10:00 to 16:00.
