A charity international art festival “When the Soul Comes Alive” was held in Lviv, within which dozens of art therapy practices, lectures, creative meetings and musical performances were organised for participants throughout Saturday.
The event began with a joint prayer with the participation of Hlib Lonchyna and a performance by the choir of St George’s Cathedral. This was followed by themed art spaces and workshops dedicated to emotional balance, addressing anxiety, restoring inner resources, as well as art therapy, aromatherapy, ecotherapy and support for mental health.
Specialists from Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Rivne, Vinnytsia, as well as from Poland, Germany and France, took part in leading the sessions.
A separate part of the programme included a performance by the theatre “OKO”, music concerts, performances by servicemen, as well as spaces for informal communication and psychological recovery.
“It is extremely important today to create spaces where people can at least briefly restore their inner balance, feel supported and find the resources to move forward. Such initiatives unite people around humanity, mutual understanding and caring for one another. It is especially valuable that specialists and participants from different regions of Ukraine and from abroad have joined the festival,” noted the Head of the Office of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Taras Hren.
