Charity ChekaFest 2.0 with a performance by “DakhaBrakha” to take place in Lviv

On 30 May in Lviv, the charitable festival ChekaFest 2.0 will take place in the Shevchenkivskyi Hai open-air museum, dedicated to the memory of Lviv medic Iryna “Cheka” Tsybukh. All funds raised from ticket sales will be directed to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The festival is being organised on the eve of the birthday of Iryna Tsybukh, who was killed in 2024 in the Kharkiv region while carrying out a combat mission.

ChekaFest 2.0 is being announced as one of the largest festivals in Ukraine, speaking about remembrance as action — about how Ukrainians transform loss into support, meaning and the future.

The event has a charitable purpose: the proceeds will be used to purchase two ground-based robotic systems for the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion, with which Iryna served together with her comrades during rotations. This is a joint fundraising campaign with the “Come Back Alive” Charitable Foundation.

Taking to the music stage will be “DakhaBrakha”, “Pyrih i Batih”, “ShchukaRyba”, “Shepit” and Maryna Krut. The event will run throughout the day: the first half will feature educational lectures and discussions, with the musical programme scheduled to start at around 16:00. A market of local producers will also be open throughout the day.

The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, singer and friend of Iryna, Maryna Krut, together with Iryna’s brother and mother, publicly unveiled the festival poster on the balcony of the Town Hall, stressing that ChekaFest is intended to preserve the memory of Iryna through music, conversation, meetings and good deeds.
