At the “Territory of the Unbreakable” festival in Stroniatyn, 49,300 UAH was raised for local soldiers

In the village of Stroniatyn in Lviv district, during the BUI-TUR-FEST “Territory of the Unbreakable” festival, 49,300 UAH was raised to support local soldiers. The event combined a charitable purpose with commemorating the village’s history and the figure of Yevhen Konovalets.

The festival was held to mark the 135th anniversary of the birth of Yevhen Konovalets. The organisers emphasise that Stroniatyn is a patriotic village where the past is honoured, traditions are preserved and the spirit of love for Ukraine is passed on to the younger generation. Yevhen Konovalets once visited here, and the history of the local “Bui-Tur” combat unit formed the basis for the festival’s name.

BUI-TUR-FEST is conceived as a space for restoring the historical and cultural memory of Stroniatyn: bringing back from oblivion the names, events and stories that shaped the unbreakable character of the area, so that they live not only on the pages of books, but also in people’s memory.

A distinctive feature of this year’s event was the opening of the renovated People’s House in Stroniatyn. The building was repaired beforehand with the support of philanthropist and native of the village Myroslav Khomiak.

The event was attended by Lviv Regional Council deputy Andrii Duma, deputy head of the district administration Andrii Kovalskyi, philanthropist Myroslav Khomiak and the settlement head Liliia Bova. The day began with a prayer for Ukraine’s defenders and the opening of the historical exhibition “Yevhen Konovalets: The Word that Awoke Stroniatyn”.

After this, a solemn memorial march “Path of the Unbreakable” took place, along with the unveiling of a commemorative stand at the “Territory of the Unbreakable” location and its spiritual consecration.

Stroniatyn was then filled with Ukrainian song: a concert programme took place, the “Market of the Unbreakable” was in operation, and a charity auction “Together to Victory” was held. All these activities brought residents and guests together around a common goal — to support local service personnel.

The organisers thanked everyone who contributed to holding the festival, raised funds, performed on stage or helped as a volunteer. They stress that the “Territory of the Unbreakable” is not only a space, but also living memory, people and a strength that is passed down from generation to generation.
