During a session of the city council, the acting general director of SE ‘Lvivvuhillia‘ Vasyl Boiko reported on the critical situation at the enterprise. This state enterprise is crucial for the community’s budget, as its revenues constitute 25% of the budget. The mayor, Andriy Zalivskyi, noted that failing to meet the budget could lead to sequestration, meaning a significant reduction in expenditures.
The debt of the SE to budgets at all levels amounts to approximately 2.2 billion UAH, and to the pension fund and social insurance funds — 1.8 billion UAH. Specifically, the debt on the unified social contribution is 523 million UAH. At a meeting with MP Mykhailo Bondar, the possibility of introducing a moratorium on fines was discussed, as the enterprise is unable to pay them on time.
Since November 2025, the SE’s accounts have been blocked by the tax service, complicating payment transactions. For instance, the coal miners owe the municipal enterprise ‘Vodokanal’ about 20 million UAH. Vasyl Boiko noted that this situation arose due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, which led to a decrease in demand for coal.
Deputies of the Sheptytskyi City Council have appealed to the government to take control of the process of transferring SE ‘Lvivvuhillia’ to the State Property Fund and to initiate a resolution to settle the debt without additional financial burden on the enterprise. They also consider it inappropriate to transfer the enterprise to the State Property Fund and request to postpone this process.
