A tragic road traffic accident occurred in Lviv region, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old boy. The incident took place on 30 March at around 22:15 on the ‘Radekhiv-Sheptytskyi’ highway near the village of Yosypivka in the Sheptytskyi district.
According to preliminary data, the driver of a Fiat Ducato, a 38-year-old resident of the Volyn region, hit a pedestrian, a 15-year-old resident of the Sheptytskyi district. The teenager died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
The Lviv region police have opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years. Law enforcement officers continue to establish the circumstances of the incident.
