As a result of a traffic accident near the village of Voloshcha in the Drohobych District of the Lviv region, two individuals were injured. On 5 April, at approximately 19:15, a road accident occurred during which a 30-year-old motorcyclist from the Sambir district, riding a Lifan CT200, lost control, resulting in a fall.
The motorcyclist and his underage passenger, a 17-year-old resident of the Drohobych district, were injured in the accident. Both sustained bodily injuries and were hospitalised.
Following this incident, officials from the Drohobych District Police Department have launched a criminal investigation under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article stipulates a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty and a driving ban for the same term.
The authorities are investigating all the circumstances of this road incident.
