The Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv Oblast has established the fact of embezzlement of public funds in connection with the procurement of rapidly assembled civil defence shelters. According to the investigation, the losses to the state amounted to nearly 7 million hryvnias.
In October 2024, a state heating supply company entered into a contract with a supplier of rapidly assembled shelters. The former head of that company is alleged, according to investigators, to have acted in breach of the state’s interests during the execution of the said contract.
Following the pre-trial investigation, the former head of the company has been formally notified of suspicion. The case materials have been referred to court for consideration on the merits.
