More than 53 hectares of land of the water fund located within the Stryi City Territorial Community have been returned to communal ownership following a claim by the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office.
This concerns two land plots with ponds which, in 2022, were leased out without holding land auctions. The basis for this decision was the tenant’s real estate located on these plots, in particular a garage, stables, an administrative building and warehouses.
Prosecutors established that the area of the leased land exceeded the area of the real estate located on it by more than 530,000 sq. m, which is contrary to the requirements of land legislation. The identified violations became grounds for filing a lawsuit seeking termination of the lease agreement.
During the court proceedings, the lease agreement was terminated and the land plots were returned to the communal ownership of the territorial community. In connection with this, the proceedings in the case were closed.
