Elderly Woman Injured in Fire in Drohobych District

In the village of Popeli on Boryslavska Street, Drohobych District, a fire occurred in a single-storey utility building. Initially, local residents attempted to extinguish the fire themselves, but by the time the rescuers arrived, the fire had spread over an area of 100 sq.m, posing a risk of spreading to nearby buildings, as reported by LVIVDSNS.

The fire was contained by 16:55 and completely extinguished by 17:10. As a result of the fire, a woman born in 1961 was injured and hospitalised in Drohobych City Hospital with respiratory tract burns.

Rescuers saved 5 buildings and 3 calves, involving 12 personnel and 3 pieces of special equipment to extinguish the fire.
