In Drohobych, a traffic accident occurred, resulting in injuries to a motorcyclist. The incident took place on 17th March at around 16:40 on Stryiska Street. Preliminary data indicates that a Renault Duster driven by a 33-year-old resident of Drohobych collided with a Honda Zoomer motorcycle operated by a 19-year-old resident of the Drohobych district. As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalised, as reported by MVS Lviv.
Investigators from the Department for the Investigation of Transport Crimes of the Lviv Police have opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article provides for imprisonment for a period of three to eight years with a possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years or without such deprivation. Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
