In Lviv region, over the past 24 hours, rescuers have extinguished 9 fires, including two fires in ecosystems. As a result of one of the emergencies, 1 person was killed. This was reported by the regional unit of the State Emergency Service.
Rescuers stress that many fires occur due to violations of fire safety regulations and carelessness. Citizens are urged not to leave electrical appliances, heaters and open flames unattended, and to ensure that electrical wiring and gas equipment in their homes are in good working order.
They draw particular attention to the dangers of burning dry grass and plant waste. Such actions often cause fires in ecosystems, which can quickly spread to residential buildings and forested areas.
The State Emergency Service emphasises that careful behaviour and adherence to basic safety rules help prevent emergencies and save lives.
