On the Kyiv–Chop motorway near the village of Zahirtsi in Zolochiv district, at about 12:40 on 5 July, a road traffic collision occurred involving a Honda Siming driven by a 50-year-old Lviv resident. This was reported by Zolochiv District Police Department.
According to preliminary information, the driver lost control and the vehicle left the carriageway and went into a ditch. As a result, the driver and a 25-year-old female passenger in the car were injured and taken to hospital.
Investigators of Police Station No.1 of Zolochiv District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road traffic safety rules).
The sanction under this article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for the same period. Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the road traffic collision.
