Fire in Lviv: Apartment on Nechuya-Levytskoho Saved

In Lviv, a fire occurred on Nechuya-Levytskoho Street that could have destroyed an apartment, but thanks to the prompt actions of the rescuers, this was avoided. This was reported by the Lviv State Emergency Service.

On 21 March at 07:15, the Rescue Service received a report of a fire in an apartment on the second floor of a three-storey residential building. Upon the rescuers’ arrival, thick black smoke was billowing from the window.

Firefighters, working with breathing and vision protection equipment, quickly began extinguishing the fire. The premises were filled with toxic combustion products, and the fire’s source was located in one of the rooms, where household items were burning over an area of 4 square metres.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the firefighters, the fire was quickly localised and extinguished by 07:30. Nine rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved in the operation. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident. Experts are determining the cause of the fire.
