Sophia Dymyda from Dibrovka Found After Disappearance

An 82-year-old resident of the village of Dibrovka, Sophia Dymyda, went missing in the Sheptytskyi District. She was found showing signs of exhaustion and hypothermia. The elderly woman was under the care of medics from the Sheptytskyi Central District Hospital, who confirmed she had not been a victim of a crime.

The woman lived alone and on 26th April at around 9:00 a.m., she left home in an unknown direction. Villagers reported her disappearance to the police after her prolonged absence, prompting an active search involving local residents and hunters.

On 8th May, a resident of one of the hamlets belonging to Dibrovka found the elderly woman in her farm building and reported it to the 102 helpline. Police Officer Petro Petrashkevych promptly arrived at the scene and confirmed that she had not fallen victim to a crime, she had simply lost her way. The circumstances of the incident will be clarified when the woman’s health permits.
