
In Drohobych, a fire broke out in a two-storey residential building on Kotsiubynskoho Street on the evening of 19th May. The incident occurred due to the ignition of household items over an area of 8 sq.m.
During the fire, two children born in 2012 and 2014 were injured. They suffered medium-degree smoke inhalation and were hospitalised in Drohobych City Hospital. The fire was localised at 17:46 and completely extinguished by 17:57, involving 7 rescuers and 2 units of special equipment.
According to preliminary data, the fire might have been caused by a faulty mobile phone. Rescuers remind us of the importance of safety: do not leave phone chargers unattended and call 101 immediately in case of danger.
