Fire Extinguished in Garages on Maidanna Street in Lviv

In Lviv, firefighters extinguished a fire that occurred on 4th May on Maidanna Street. The report of the fire was received at 14:39. By the time the firefighters arrived, the fire had spread over an area of approximately 40 square metres, including rubbish burning behind the garages and the garages themselves.

Thick black smoke was billowing from one of the garages, and inside was a BMW car, completely engulfed in flames. There was a risk of the fire spreading to a neighbouring garage, which also contained a vehicle. To save it, the firefighters towed the car out of the premises.

Due to the heavy smoke, the firefighters worked in special breathing and vision protection apparatus. The fire was localised at 15:24 and extinguished at 15:35. Eleven firefighters and three units of special equipment were at the scene. No one was injured as a result of the fire. Experts are determining the causes and circumstances of the blaze.
