
In Lviv, an indictment has been submitted to court against a 43-year-old Lviv resident accused of assaulting two female ticket inspectors from LKP «Lvivavtodor» during a journey on public transport.
According to law enforcement officers, the incident occurred on 7 June at around 14:50 at the junction of Stryiska and Khutorivka streets. A conflict arose between the man and the two inspectors after they remarked on the passenger not having a valid ticket or any other document entitling him to travel.
It was established that the man behaved rudely, used obscene language, then grabbed the inspectors by the hair and began pulling them in different directions, causing bodily injuries.
Investigators from Police Station No. 2 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2, under the procedural supervision of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, have completed the pre-trial investigation initiated under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism), and have submitted the indictment to the court.
The sanction under this article provides for a penalty in the form of a fine ranging from five hundred to one thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to five years.
