An exhibition has opened at the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion, which is part of the international project “10,000 Angels – Global Children’s Tapestry – Voice for Peace.”
“Ukrainian children have painted angels, and their works will become part of a large panoramic tapestry that unites children’s voices from around the world. The purpose of the project is to unite countries in the fight for peace through children’s creativity and to remind that the future belongs to those who dream of a world without war. At the exhibition, a panel of children’s drawings is presented, which, thanks to Scottish textile craftsmen, are transformed into embroidered works using an author’s technique on felted wool,” – as stated in the museum.
Later, the canvases will be combined into a large panoramic tapestry with ten thousand angels, 60 meters long and 2 meters high. Next to each work will be a photo of the child with their drawing.
