12 People Rescued During Fire in Lviv

A fire broke out in a nine-storey building on Kavaleridze Street in Lviv. The fire service “101” received the report at 06:38. The blaze erupted on the fifth floor, filling the stairwell with thick smoke, posing a threat to residents.

The rescue team promptly began evacuating people, bringing seven individuals out into the fresh air with special rescue equipment, four were evacuated under supervision, and one person was rescued using an aerial ladder. The fire, covering an area of 10 square metres, was extinguished by 07:30.

No one was injured in the incident. Twelve rescuers were on-site, using three units of specialised equipment to effectively extinguish the fire.
