42-year-old man in Lviv exposed on suspicion of selling cannabis

In Lviv, law enforcement officers detained a 42-year-old local resident suspected of purchasing, storing and selling the narcotic drug cannabis to drug-dependent individuals by passing it “from hand to hand”. This was reported by the Lviv Region Police.

The offender was exposed by criminal police operatives, investigators and employees of other units of Lviv District Police Department No.2 under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office.

Law enforcement officers documented several instances in which the suspect purchased, stored and sold the narcotic drug cannabis.

The detainee has been notified that he is suspected of committing criminal offences under Part 1, Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues).

Under these articles, the suspect faces a sentence of up to ten years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
