In Lviv, a Drug ‘Stasher’ from Poltava Detained

In Lviv, law enforcement officers detained a 20-year-old resident of Poltava, who was temporarily living in the city and engaged in drug distribution. He collaborated with an online store, receiving large consignments of cannabis, amphetamine, and PVP, which he distributed through ‘stashes’.

The offender was exposed on 9 April by servicemen of the National Guard during patrol on Zamkova Street. A criminal investigation team from Lviv District Police Department No.1 was working on the scene, identifying the individual involved and detaining him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The detainee was found with 33 ‘stashes’ containing a substance resembling cannabis, 20 ‘stashes’ with amphetamine, and 10 with PVP. All ‘stashes’ have been sent for expert analysis. The offender has been notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offence under Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.

A pre-trial investigation is underway, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided. The procedural guidance is being carried out by the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office.
