In the village of Potorytsia in the Sheptytskyi district, a fire broke out in a single-storey brick residential house. The Rescue Service “101” was notified of the blaze on 29 July at 12:52.
Fire and rescue units from the towns of Sokal and Sheptytskyi were swiftly dispatched to the scene. By the time the firefighters arrived, the roof of the house was on fire, the flames were rapidly spreading through the wooden roof structures, and heavy smoke was complicating the firefighters’ work.
The fire was contained at 13:23 and fully extinguished at 13:36. Thanks to the well-coordinated actions of the rescuers, the spread of the flames throughout the entire building was prevented and the residential house was saved.
No one was injured in the incident. The causes and circumstances of the fire are being established by specialists.
