In the Sheptytskyi district, a fire broke out at night in an outbuilding on Knyahyni Olhy Street in the town of Sheptytskyi. Firefighters from Sheptytskyi and Sokal were called in to tackle the blaze.
The Rescue Service “101” received the call at 01:55 on 8 June. By the time the firefighters arrived, the roof and ceiling of the building were already completely engulfed in flames and there was a risk that the fire would spread to neighbouring structures.
The fire was contained at 03:06 and fully extinguished at 03:32. Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to a nearby residential building, an outbuilding, a summer kitchen and a garage, a total of five buildings.
Eleven firefighters and three units of specialist equipment were involved in extinguishing the blaze. Experts are establishing the causes and circumstances of the fire. No one was injured.
