On February 16, at 11:11, the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire in the village of Prylbychi of Yavoriv district. The fire started in the car “Renault Master”.
Rescuers of the 53rd state fire and rescue unit of Novoyavorivsk went to the place of the call. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene of the call, the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames. There was a threat of the fire spreading to a nearby residential building.
As it turned out, the owner of the car, a man born in 1982, tried to extinguish the fire on his own before the arrival of rescuers, as a result of which he received first-degree head burns. After being examined by doctors, the man refused hospitalization.
At 11:33 a.m. firefighters localized the fire, and at 11:43 a.m. it was extinguished.
Firefighters managed to prevent the spread of the fire and save the residential building from the fire. As a result of the fire, the fire destroyed the car and damaged the lining of the roof of a residential building with an area of 10 square meters.
5 personnel and 1 unit of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The reasons and circumstances of the accident are being established.
