In the village of Sapizhanka in the Lviv district, a collision occurred between a Skoda Superb, driven by a 38-year-old woman, and an electric bicycle operated by a 71-year-old local resident. The incident happened on 10th May, around 18:30.
As a result of this road traffic accident, the rider of the two-wheeled vehicle sustained injuries and was hospitalised. Police Division No.1 of the Lviv District Directorate has launched a criminal investigation under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning violations of road traffic safety regulations.
The maximum penalty under this article provides for up to three years of restricted liberty with a deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Law enforcement officers are determining all the circumstances of this incident.
