Over the past day, three pedestrians were injured in Lviv Oblast

So, on November 24, around 8:30 p.m., on the “Western Bypass of the City of Lviv” highway in the village of Zimna Voda, Lviv District, the driver of a “KIA Sorento” car, a 60-year-old resident of the Vinnytsia Region, hit two local women aged 23 and 60. As a result of the accident, the women were injured and taken to the hospital.

Another traffic accident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Heroiv UPA street in Lviv. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Audi car, a 34-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a pedestrian, a 98-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the elderly man received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.

Based on these facts, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
