Applications for the state “Schoolchild’s Pack” payment are being accepted until 1 November. The programme provides a one-off cash benefit of 5 000 hryvnias to help prepare each child for Year One.
Ukrainian citizens may apply for the payment – one of the parents or the guardian of a first-year pupil. The benefit can be arranged in two ways: via the “Diia” app or in person at the service centres of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Representatives of the Pension Fund draw attention to the fact that parents who applied as far back as August but have still not received the money should contact the institution to verify their special accounts. The delay is sometimes caused by changed bank details or errors in the data.
