From 7 November 2026 to 1 February 2027, in the hunting grounds of Sheptytskyi District used by the Chervonohrad City Organisation of the Ukrainian Society of Hunters and Anglers, culling of wild animals is planned in order to regulate their numbers.
The measures will take place every Saturday and Sunday on the basis of decisions of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission under the Lviv Regional Military Administration (minutes No. 3 of 31.10.2025 and No. 2 of 14.10.2026).
The purpose of the works is to control the population of wild boar, as well as certain species of predatory carnivorous animals and birds by culling. This concerns, in particular, wolves, foxes, jackals and raccoon dogs.
Residents and visitors of the community are asked to take into account the culling period, to be cautious when near hunting grounds at weekends and to strictly observe safety rules.
