Pensioners of the Lviv region can freely purchase an additional 5 LED lamps

Today, with a new version of the program, the lamps are available in all rural branches of Ukrposhta.

The procedure for making changes to the minds of the implementation of the program for exchanging frying lamps on light-emitting diodes. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a decision was made to provide pensioners with an additional opportunity to receive five light-emitting diode lamps directly from the postal service departments of JSC “Ukrposhta”.

In order to exchange additional LED lamps, pensioners who contact the department must have a passport, registration number, pension confirmation and active telephone number. Pensioners can exchange additional energy-saving lamps without costs, and LED sources will be readily available. Pensioners who have already exchanged light bulbs can quickly take advantage of the exchange program and remove the additional 5 energy-saving lamps.

“We are grateful that once again pensioners will no longer need to immediately bring old lamps for exchange. They can be brought from the Ukrposhta branch within a month from the moment the five additional light-emitting diode lamps are removed,” says Stepan Rudnitsky, head of the transport department and communications department of the Lviv Regional Administration.

Between the implementation of the first and other phases of the program, communities and legal entities consumed more than 21 million LED lamps. This helped to significantly reduce the demand on the region’s energy system. According to preliminary estimates, the economical effect of exchanging another 18 million LED lamps will allow a total saving of up to 1000 MW per hour compared to the traditional operation of a nuclear power plant unit.

We would like to remind you that the light bulb exchange program is supported by the European Union in response to the request of President Volodymyr Zelensky and is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and JSC “Ukrposhta” in all regions of Ukraine, except for the zone of combat operations and the rapidly occupied territories. The program, financed by the EU, is a source of support by the European Union to the Ukrainian energy front, as one of the energy efficiency tools that will ensure the balance of energy supply in the new years.
