In the village of Mezhyrichchia, Sheptytskyi district, a fatal fire occurred, resulting in the destruction of four houses and one fatality. The tragedy unfolded during the day when the emergency services received a report about grass catching fire in a holiday cooperative.
Firefighters from the cities of Sosnivka and Sheptytskyi arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the blaze, which covered approximately 200 sq m. During the firefighting operation, the body of the deceased was found. The circumstances surrounding the death are being clarified.
The firefighters managed to contain the fire at 14:51 and completely extinguish it by 16:03. Two specialised vehicles and eight rescuers were used. The State Emergency Service once again stresses: do not burn dry grass, as it can lead to unpredictable consequences.
