
Today at 10:14 a fire broke out in a five-storey dormitory in Stryi on Bolekhovska Street. This was reported on Facebook. Upon the arrival of the rescuers, thick smoke was billowing from one of the rooms on the third floor, caused by a fire covering an area of 10 square metres.
Residents had left the building on their own before the arrival of the rescuers. They utilised special equipment to protect their respiratory and vision organs and promptly began extinguishing the fire. Thanks to their coordinated efforts, further spread of the fire was prevented.
The fire was localised by 10:32, and by 10:42, it was fully extinguished. A total of 16 rescuers and 4 units of specialised equipment were involved in fighting the fire. No one was injured, and the causes and circumstances of the fire are being investigated by experts.
