In Lviv, the first wave of children being admitted to early years education settings in the Lviv community has begun. Over the course of the day, more than 6,500 parents will receive SMS notifications confirming admission.
As reported by the Education Development Department of the City Council, within 30 working days — up to and including 10 July, parents must contact the head of the nursery and submit a set of documents. They need to provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a document confirming any entitlement to benefits, if applicable, and also write an application.
By 31 August, parents must bring the original documents and a medical certificate from their family doctor to the nursery. Alternatively, an application can be submitted online via the Personal Account (if scans of the documents were already attached during registration), and by the end of August parents must come to the nursery in person, submit the originals, the medical certificate, and write an application.
For those who did not get a place in their priority nursery or decided to change their preference, a second wave of admissions is planned. It will begin on 20 August. From 20 July, it will be possible to edit applications, indicating a different nursery number where places are available.
