Taras Stefanyshyn to head LCE “Administrator of Municipal Waste Management Service”

In Lviv, the new head of the LCE “Administrator of Municipal Waste Management Service” is Taras Stefanyshyn. He was officially introduced by the First Deputy Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko.

Before his appointment, Stefanyshyn headed the LCE “Lvivspetskomuntrans” for more than 15 years. The City Council emphasises that he has substantial experience in managing a municipal enterprise which at one time was in a difficult state, but later improved its performance indicators and was transformed into an effective structure.

According to Andriy Moskalenko, the area of municipal waste management remains one of the key priorities for the city, especially in the context of the implementation of the national reform and the delivery of infrastructure projects, in particular the construction of a waste processing plant and the full-scale launch of the LCE service administrator.

“The issue of municipal waste management is one of the most important. This concerns the construction of a waste processing plant, the full-scale launch of the Service Administrator and the implementation of the national reform in the field of waste management,” noted Andriy Moskalenko.

The official thanked the previous head of the LCE “Administrator of Municipal Waste Management Service”, Petro Kinash, for his work and contribution to the development of the service administration system. Among the main tasks facing the new head of the enterprise are the launch of all operational processes, the holding of the necessary tenders and the implementation of the requirements of the updated waste legislation.

Taras Stefanyshyn graduated from the Lviv National Agrarian Academy with a degree in “mechanical engineering”, receiving a diploma with distinction, and also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the Lviv Institute of Management.

Following Stefanyshyn’s move to the new LCE, the duties of acting head of the LCE “Lvivspetskomuntrans” have been assigned to the enterprise’s chief engineer, Mykola Stebelskyi.
