A new foster family created for two children in the Sokal community

A new foster family has been created in the Sokal City Territorial Community, which has taken in two children deprived of parental care. This was reported by Sokal City Council.

A foster family is a family that voluntarily takes in from one to four orphans or children deprived of parental care to raise and live with them. The main purpose of this form of care is to ensure children have the right to live in a family, regardless of their age.

The Sokal community emphasises that the state supports family-based forms of care by providing financial and social assistance to families who take in orphans and children deprived of parental care.

For guidance on setting up a foster family, residents are advised to contact the “Children’s Services” Department of Sokal City Council of Lviv Region.
