Bus route No. 99 in Lviv will run to Shevchenkivskyi Hai at the weekend, on 30 and 31 May, to provide visitors with convenient access to the Klymentii Sheptytskyi Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, the city council’s transport department has reported.
Route No. 99 links Halytska Square with the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life. The decision to restore services this weekend was taken in view of the packed programme of events at the open-air museum and the expected increase in visitor numbers.
On Saturday, the museum will host the ChekaFest 2.0 charity festival in memory of Lviv medic Iryna ‘Cheka’ Tsybukh. And on Sunday, Holy Trinity Day, the museum is also expecting many guests, as Shevchenkivskyi Hai is traditionally a popular leisure spot for Lviv residents and tourists alike.
The timetable for the route remains unchanged: one bus will operate on the line from 10:00 to 19:30 at intervals of roughly one hour. The route is operated by the municipal enterprise ATP-1.
Bus No. 99 was launched in April last year to operate at weekends. In winter, due to low passenger numbers, it ran only during major events. At present, due to rising fuel prices, the route’s continued operation depends on the museum’s events schedule and is coordinated with its management. Additional information about the route’s operation in June will be provided separately.
The route runs as follows: pl. Halytska — pl. Soborna — vul. V. Vynnychenka — vul. Lychakivska — vul. I. Ripyna — vul. Nizhynska — vul.
