On Friday, May 30, the city of Lviv will honor the memory of two Ukrainian defenders — Ivan Ilyakhov and Serhii Svintozelskyi — who gave their lives protecting the country from Russian aggression. The city authorities are urging residents and visitors to attend the farewell ceremonies and refrain from holding entertainment or celebrations at this time.
The burial ceremonies will begin at 11:00 AM at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. A public citywide farewell will follow around 11:30 AM on Rynok Square.
