On Tuesday, January 7, the city of Lviv will honorably bid farewell to two defenders of Ukraine, Ihor Makarevych and Oleksandr Shchetinin, who sacrificed their lives protecting the country from Russian invaders. The city authorities urge residents and visitors to join the farewell ceremony and refrain from celebrations and entertainment on this day.
The ceremony will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. At 11:30 a.m., a citywide farewell ceremony will take place in Rynok Square.
Ihor Makarevych will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery, and Oleksandr Shchetinin will find his final resting place at Holoskiv Cemetery.

Survived by his father, two brothers, nephews, and a goddaughter.

Joined the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kost Hordiyenko during the Russian full-scale invasion and performed combat missions in Kharkiv. - Family:
Survived by his parents and brother.
