
Galician paratrooper, known by the call sign ‘Makar’, shared his experiences of combat in the Kursk region.
‘When we were clearing a village in the Kursk region from the enemy, we eliminated between 30 and 40 Russian soldiers. Another 11 enemies were captured’, Makar recounts.
The defender went through his baptism of fire during the Kursk operation. He was among those who first broke into enemy territory and stormed enemy positions.
The battles continued against North Korean soldiers. According to the warrior, they were well-trained and knowledgeable in combat tactics. One of the firefights occurred at a distance of 15 meters. The enemies managed to approach our positions undetected but were timely discovered and neutralized.
Over a year of service in the brigade, Makar became a sergeant and currently commands an assault squad. He has no regrets about his decision to join the military.
