Lviv to Honor Fallen Soldiers Vitalii Tylipskyi, Roman Oslavskyi, and Oleh Hrytsiv

On Saturday, December 21, Lviv will bid farewell to three heroes — Vitalii Tylipskyi, Roman Oslavskyi, and Oleh Hrytsiv, who gave their lives defending Ukraine from Russian occupiers. The city administration urges residents and visitors to join the farewell ceremony, refrain from celebrations, and dedicate the time to prayer and support for the families of the fallen.

The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. At 11:30 a.m., a citywide farewell ceremony will take place at Rynok Square. The defenders will be laid to rest at the Lychakiv Cemetery.

Heroic Biographies of the Fallen

Vitalii Tylipskyi (January 5, 1987 – December 12, 2024)
Born in Lviv, Vitalii attended School No. 84. He actively participated in sports during childhood and later graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Vocational Lyceum. He completed his military service in the internal troops.

Vitalii worked in the security sector and later became an entrepreneur. He was passionate about fishing and led an active lifestyle. After the full-scale invasion began, he joined the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He is survived by his daughter, brother, nephews, and godparents.

Roman Oslavskyi (February 28, 1984 – December 15, 2024)
A native of Lviv, Roman graduated from School No. 30 and trained as a welder at the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction. He worked in construction and cherished his family time, especially with his son.

During the invasion, Roman joined the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He fought in Donetsk Oblast. He is survived by his wife and son.

Oleh Hrytsiv (May 12, 1976 – December 13, 2024)
Originally from Zhytomyr Oblast, Oleh graduated from Lviv School No. 90 and earned three higher education degrees. He studied at Lviv Polytechnic, the University of Natural Resources, and the National Academy of Border Service.

Oleh worked in various fields and recently focused on private business. After the invasion, he joined the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment, serving in multiple regions, including Donetsk Oblast. He is survived by his parents, brother, and godchildren.

The city invites everyone to participate in the ceremony and honor the memory of these brave defenders.
